Scott took a dive for his BFF Wilder. Wilder barely touched him.

Scott was a decent amateur with a good record, and was praised for his abilities. Like many pro fighters, he was lulling through his career because he wasn’t motivated - like the many gate keepers that aren’t motivated. He was good enough though, to the point where his services (as a sparring partner) were needed/used by Lennox and Fury for some intense sparring sessions.

Scott may have needed this opportunity from Wilder to find his strengths as a potential coach and to teach Wilder where his talents lie. Haters like most on these boards only see negatives in Wilder, so they’ll see Scott as a double negative, but if Scott can stay humble and not draw too much attention to himself - Wilder may truly have a second set of eyes that sees his strengths like a lot of us on these threads do.

Michael Jordan was (IMO) the greatest basketball player ever, but when it came time assemble a team and pick the talent for that team - he ******…..Mike couldn’t accomplish everything that the game of basketball required - no doubt it requires different facets, and different people (not only great players) to be involved.

Malik as well as a third of all Wilders opponents could have the coaching gene, but when they’re all seen as “bums” - who cares if they can coach or not.

Mark Breland gave all he could give to Wilders career - (imo, that is, watching all Marks pro fights - especially the ones where he was KO’d) he had NOTHING left to give Wilder.

I guess Sugar Hill went through tons of greats fights in the ring to help Tyson’s rabbit punching range, open glove maneuvering, and MMA leans?!?

What’s Sugar Hills record in the ring? He’s allowed to coach but doesn’t have to fight, just remember what his unc had to say? Yeah OK, Malik is useless.
