Breaking News: Deontay Wilder Changes His Gloves To Everlast MX Horsehair After Seeing Tyson Fury's Gloves

Deontay Wilder has decided to change his gloves after seeing Fury's Paffen horsehair gloves. After complaining to the commission, to know avail, he has gone to the gloves he used to use, the Everlast Pro Mx gloves. He said he breaks eye sockets, faces and his own hands. But that doesn't matter to Wilder. He says, "Let the best man win!"

Now both boxers will be using puncher's gloves in the match.

How silly, Wilder has glass hands. It doesn't matter what gloves he wears, he'll always have that KO power.

I know! That's what I was thinking. I think the concussive power can be better in some of the foam gloves, especially the really compact gloves. The horsehair gloves are good if you want to cut up your oppenent. They make cuts better, which works well if you are a volume puncher. Fury is a volume puncher. Wilder, however, doesn't really throw anything other than bombs for the most part, so like you said, it's much more of a disadvantage for him than an advantage.

Just changed my prediction from a 6th round KO to a 2nd round KO for Wilder. Fury's going to be shitting horsehair for a week.

Why would you change what you're doing a day before the fight? Madness unless it's some pre planned theatre.

Now he’s gonna blame the horsehair gloves if he loses.

So Wilder doesn't think gloves should be like that and thinks Fury's gloves were wrong in the last two fights... so went back to gloves he used to wear that are exactly the same. So check that excuse off the list. The gloves were fine. He used to use similar gloves so he knows that they were fine.

And this time, it's Wilder doing the dirty and playing games with changing gloves at late notice.

Ok... I am more familiar with Kickboxing, but can someone tell us the difference between the different types of match gloves?

And also... wouldn't the types of gloves be specified in the fight contract? Seems a bit odd they would change them up the day before the fight?
