I like shields, but she isn't doing herself any favor by fighting once a year and always having it being a decision. She has 11 fights in 5 years. Think about that. She's young and only has fought 11 fights in the first 5 years of her career. Guys like Lomachenko and Rigondeux(who are also 2x gold medalists) Have 17 fights in 8 years and 22 fights in 12 years. So my message to ANY fighter, regardless of gender, race, or sexuality, is to stop complaining about pay if you're not fighting often. You've got to do something to put the asses in the seats. Everyone says they want her to fight Marshall, she doesn't want to do it while referring to pay. A key to success in this social media era is to stay off social media so much. It will make the people miss you and want to see you.

Because she wouldn't have an argument if she brought it up.
Women will complain and use gender and race as a means to explain why they're being treated "unfairly." Not only do they make these claims, but they expect these claims to be taken care of without putting in the work.
She's accomplished a lot in the sport along with other males who have done the same, but those men understand business and what they bring to the table. They deal with the reality of knowing they're not the A-side but have the opportunity the prove themselves.
I see some guys in fights with BIG name guys and they'll walk away with 200-300k maybe. Not every male fighter cracks $1M+ or walk away with Floyd-type paydays. Look at how hard guys like Shawn Porter, Crawford, and some of the other Welterweights work just for a guaranteed $1M+. And these are guys we break our necks to watch fight.
Women need to understand there isn't this huge market for women's boxing.Last edited by MeanestNiceGuy; 09-30-2021, 02:13 PM.Comment

Lol Because Paul has made more money on one fight night against an MMA fighter than she has her whole career. She better stay away from MMA too because a bum almost tapped her out in her debut. She is entitled to decide what type of cards she will fight on and what pay she will take. No problem there. She will be limiting her options and she may not get the offers she feels she deserves but that's just business. Her value will be determined by the demand to see her fight.
Outside of a fight with Marshall, I don't really have an interest in her fights (or Marshall's for that matter).Comment
