Go to MMA and stop crying about race, gender and pay. You're not on par with big paydays and it's been proven. Sadly, she'll probably get paid more in MMA because of who she is but it won't be much more than what she capped off at in boxing. A lot of male MMA fighters make about the same as unified female boxing champion and that's very telling.

Don't they always tell women to "adjust their crowns" and not to "lower yourself to make others feel better about themselves?" Yet, here we are...women complaining and shaming men for being natural born men who happen to make more money than them in whatever they do in life.

    You hate to see it.

Good for you Clarissa. People keep saying $500,000 like that was Amanda's "purse" when it really was probably a one-time bonus to sign with him. I won't doubt that Paul may help Amanda make some money, but I wouldn't act as if Paul's been getting Amanda base $500k purses fight after fight for years. There's still a lot to prove there.

The other side. I see people crapping on Clarissa. In this country, it's frowned upon when black women speak up for themselves with any sort of confidence or strength of character. That's just a reality to me.

Either way, I don't see a problem with her wanting more out of her career and not feeling like she should just settle for a Paul brother. She shouldn't have to be welcoming to fighting on Jake Paul's undercard for a fraction of what he's making. I do understand the business side where you make what people will pay for you. So she won't be making Mayweather, Canelo, Pacquiao or Joshua money. She doesn't have the last name Ali. She's not a knockout artist. However, she reserves the right to hold to some dignity and push for her worth that isn't based around being on the undercard of a startup boxer who hasn't even scratched the surface of what she's achieved in her boxing life.

The market determines your value. Women's boxing isn't popular. Promotional companies aren't going to take a loss to pay you what you think you are worth.

            and that's the bottom line.

Achievements, belts, morals, wants, needs all go out the window.

She wants more, but how does a company make money if you pay everyone what they want.

I’m really for boxing in general but the sport is a circus now and I had a career amateur and professional myself during 80’s and 90’s and have been following on a regular much longer. The people whom run the sport are the problems and that’s plural also! I will always support my Michigan girl even when she talking crazy as hell.
unfortunately their is clearly not the talent pool and she is simply not popular , I ask anyone who thinks she is worth more to underwrite the million she wants when the figures run short , I thought so , I cannot hear anyone endorsing that .. and that’s the reality. She really is not an amiable nice person either so really is pissing in the wind .
