I think it's time for Ennis to step up his competition. He's not going to get better if he fights bums. He's not going to get any respect either. What's happening here? No confidence in Boots?

As a Boots fan it worries me his team are stepping him up so slowly and how everyone he fights can't punch.

    Could he be packing glass?

I don't see what he gets from fighting this type of opponent other than another 5 lop sided rounds where he learns nothing under his belt.

Yeah. I don't know, man. He needs a challenge to keep pushing, to keep getting better. I hate this. It's doing Boots wrong in my opinion. I think it's money over respect. I want to believe that it's due to not being with TopRank or the PBC. He's still not with a big promotional company? Isn't he?

Maybe this is that people are weighing risk over benefit? I just don't get it.

He doesn't have a big enough promoter to get him the big fights and the big names have to reason to risk it against him. There's a huge difference between how good someone's ability is and how well someone is managed.

I'm disappointed in this opponent choice as well.

Seems like a step back after Lipinets, instead of a step up.

There is no way that anyone truly believes his team isn’t trying to get the big fights. He’s too risky for any top ten to take and has no big promoter throwing ridiculous offers to potentials. He’ll be lucky to get a fight until it’s mandated by a governing body. By then he will be ready for 154 or a big jump to 160 for all the glory.
