I finally understand why Tyson didn't want to fight Holyfield a 3rd time in 2020-now. Not because he was afraid of Holyfield, but because he had too much respect to destroy Holyfield publicly

The cat is out of the bag now, but I'm sure Tyson knew before any of us that Holyfield was in no condition to fight. He's every bit of an old man. They've been friends for a long time since the ear biting incident, guest starring on shows, interviews and just having a good time. Tyson considers Holyfield a very good friend. I think it's very honorable for Tyson to let the past be the past and let Holyfield have the final say in their bouts back in 96-97 even though he could have easily had the final in 2021.

Tyson wants people to remember this image when both were in their absolute physical peaks.

Tyson truly is a great friend.

I could see this why ruin a friendship over a pretty geriatric boxing match. Tyson looked way more impressive at their age than Holyfield

      More threads, please

You have 5 threads on the front page about the same fight. How about shutting the **** up for once?

Tyson turned down millions rather than embarrass his friend.

Holyfield is just an old man now.

            $$$$ talks.
Mike ''fought'' RJJ, he would have fought Holy and made 100X as much. We all know Holy would have accepted the cash.

I really do see it. On the other hand he could have carried him for 5 to 8 rounds like Haye carried his friend and all make money.

Tyson was in a lot better shape and has a lot more left. He pulled his punches with Roy. he also shouldnt be taking serious fights because his heart isnt in it anymore. Him and roy cashed out together. I think he knew that Holyfield dont have it in him to do a sparring session, holyfield wants to go to war and mike would have to put him down.

Agreed. Everybody knows Holyfield's shot to pieces and it's sad because he's always the guy to bring the fight to his opponent. A guy who can't "bring it" anymore, then there's no reason to watch.

It's like everybody blaming Floyd for how "boring" the megafight was, when the truth is, Manny just wasn't able to do anything and make the fight interesting.

Mike Tyson is just as feeble and ****ty as Holyfield is right now.
