So Hearn apparently went on some podcast or YouTube channel and proclaimed that he was working on making Jojo Diaz vs Haney for November. DLH then responded with this tweet:

Well, this sucks.....I mean if we get Jojo vs Ryan Garcia? That's fine but the WBC needs to order the Diaz/Haney fight. You have fighters working to be mandatories and fighting in eliminators but then not actually fighting the champion when given the opportunity. Smh....

I do feel a bit for Haney, Ryan Garcia cried about his mental health and wouldn’t fight him and now he’s stealing his mandatories.

Rolly thinks he is in line to get Tank next lol...But yeah, Haney vs Rolly would be fine. Or even Haney vs Commey.

But like how are fighters fighting in eliminators to be the mandatory for a belt and then when being the mandatory not actually fighting the champion?? There has to be something deeper going on between the GBP and Matchroom dynamic. Oscar has taken some shots at Hearn and vice versa. I don't think until GBP signs their next deal, they will be wanting to work with Matchroom on these high lever fights. If GBP re-signs with DAZN? Then they won't mind but for now? Expect a little of the same...Don't expect to see Bivol vs Ramirez either.

I think the vast majority of fighters value money over titles tbh. Whilst it’s unfortunate for Haney, I don’t blame Diaz for facing Garcia instead, much bigger fight and I’d assume it’s also a bigger payday.
