Hmmmmmmm....Hopkins wasnt a hard puncher when roy fought him?, How about Richard Hall, Eric Harding (who gave tarver a beating, broken jaw/ribs) ohh ohhhhh and what about that guy name James Toney?.....wait wait wait there was this one guy who hit hard enough to hurt Evander Holyfield...i think his name was John Ruiz who is a heavyweight.....bottom line, Roy doesnt have a weak chin.
Obviously Hopkins is not a power puncher. Hall yes, Harding (hopefully you are joking), Toney no, Ruiz hardly counts because Nady was the ref. Ruiz wouldn't be able to beat anyone if was ref for all of his fights. Face it, RJJ's chin subpar.
1/3 of the people who have been brought up on this thread don't have bad chins. They aren't Hagler or MArciano but they don't have Michael Grant chins.
RJJ
Cotto
Hamed
You as well add Wlad and Morrison to that list then as well...

ummmmm Dude, early in Hopkins career he was an unpolished power puncher...as for u thinking Harding didnt hit hard i must refer to a statement made by a commentator "One way to measure a fighter's power is to look at the physical damage it does the the opponents body", Now if breaking ribs and a jaw in 12 rounds doesnt represent that I dont know what does....Toney wasnt a one puncher, but he did hit hard and roy took that same left hook that sent Nunn to the contendor's list and smiled....and i aint sure if u realize it but Ruiz was fightin a smaller Roy Jones, and like it or not Ruiz dropped Holyfield so there must have been some kind of power there.

Umm dude in Hopkins previous 8 fights before he got a shot for the vacant IBF MW belt he was 8-0 with 4 KOs . He was not a power puncher. Gilbert Baptist took him the distance when a real power puncher McClellan took him out in less than 2 minutes. 22 wins with only 7 KOs does not equal power puncher. 68 wins with 43 KOs does not equal power puncher. Like it or not Larry Donald nearly dropped Holyfield, Holyfield has been shot for years, so that means nothing, and regardless the last time I checked Nady wasn't the ref for that fight. We really need to get the Power Punching Specialist in here.

dude...Ruiz fought holyfield like 6 years ago, Donald fought him a few months ago.....same Holyfield dat was dropped by Ruiz took Rahman shots......and only an ignorant boxing conniseur would guage a fighter's power with his record, in that case Duran had average punching power since he went the distance about 30 times.

PS: How is Nady relevant in this conversation?
I understand that you don't like facts and that you can't understand the difference between decent power and being a power puncher, but that's just too bad. Nady is relevant because he didn't let Ruiz hold and hit Jones like he does in all of his fights.
