Muhammad Ali was exploited by Islam, he's the great talker but not the GOAT.

To be fair it's too early to judge him at this stage, but what is for sure is that there's a lot of gullible casual's out there, so he could make a wad of cash if he did a World tour.

He looked really stiff and robotic, not at all comfortable in there. They better work with him or bring him along VERY slowly. He’s the type of fighter who needs to have north of 30 fights before contending for a title

I don't see it. Of course 4 rounders aren't usually the pearl of the fight card, but this was sloppy. I told my boy they would feed him a fish; no way they would take the slightest risk on him losing in such a "historic milestone debut". Whatever.

            Here's the REAL takeway.

If you're a boxer, and they pick you to be Nico's opponent for his pro debut, you should seriously reconsider your boxing career. Because if they picked you, that means they are ABSOLUTELY sure you don't have a snowball's chance in hell of beating their guy, who isn't very good either. So that puts you at a level where you should probably just be doing something else with your time.

These real lowest level journeymen know they have no chance, it’s just an income.

there was a cool interview with a real low level journeyman, he was being interviewed by Carl Frampton and another guy.

He basically said they’re paid to lose, And if they’re in with the prospect that they don’t feel is very good when they’re in the ring and could actually make it competitive if they really wanted to, there is pretty much an unwritten agreement with the promoter that they don’t do that and basically lose on purpose. Almost throwing fights they they could make competitive if they wanted. Part of the job.

I thought he looked good for a 21 year old who didn't have an extensive amateur career.

Nice bounce, reflexes, and overhand right that looks a little like his grandfather's if you squint a little bit.

Crap nepotism fight that shouldn't have been aired. Funny how every news outlet ran a story about it too.

CBC news who doesn't even cover boxing apart from the Olympics or famous fighter deaths even ran an article about it.
