  • Comments Thread For: Barry McGuigan Backs Anthony Joshua To Beat Oleksandr Usyk, Tyson Fury

Barry McGuigan believes that Anthony Joshua will beat both Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury. Joshua defends his unified WBA 'Super', WBO, IBF and IBO heavyweight world titles against former undisputed cruiserweight king and WBO mandatory challenger, Usyk on September 25 at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

When someone says Joshua is more versatile than Fury, I question their sanity. McGuigan was an absolute bum anyway. The only thing he'll ever be remembered for is robbing Carl Frampton of his money. Nash out.

EDIT:: When I say Bum I mean as in life not in the ring.

And you have proof McGuigan robbed them all blind do you? Fancy fishing out the court judgements against him for us all to see?

I did however read around and found that one example ex-fighter, Carl Frampton, pays MTK absolutely nothing for them to manage him - if that’s the case, then I suppose that any other previous arrangement he had with McGuigan would have felt like a robbery to him.

My inference from the above is that MTK has used Kinahan drug money to undercut the competition like McGuigan - a proud Irishman who united his country during the Troubles and has accomplished far more with his life than you could possibly dream of. And you have the audacity to call him a bum as some nameless nobody on the internet.

Next time, why don’t you stick to criticising the opinion rather than the person, and quit with the toxic nonsense.

McGuigan had his entire family on the Frampton payroll, it's well known that Quigg took home a lot more money when they fought, despite Frampton having the larger split.

Barry is entitled to his opinion, however silly that might be, but that means I'm entitled to my opinion, and in my opinion, he's a money grabbing scumbag.

Ok, so I obviously cannot pull out any court paperwork I’m not their. One thing I really can promise though I can tell you Barry had no problem NOT PAYING HIS FIGHTERS THE ROYALTIES they deserve.

he tells them “you can be director of my company you’ll earn so much, im all for fighters getting paid!“

Then years later, these boxers are having bailiffs threatening their wife and kids whilst they’re away on training camps, telling them they’re in £400K Debt as “Your a director of Cyclone sports and they didn’t pay they’re bills.

would you like more info? Because I can. If so it will be privately as I aren’t airing friends business.

McGuigan gives his boxing opinion, which is that Joshua, being able to **** or box, has more options of how to fight than Fury and therefore picks Joshua, though acknowledges Fury has bags of natural talent and this, combined with his speed, means he can beat anyone.

To refute this, we have a bunch of people saying he ripped off Frampton.

Not seeing what one has to do with the other.

You don’t need to have been there to point out any court paperwork or judgement - it should be there for public record, or reported on by a 3rd party with knowledge of the matter. Did we all have to be in the courtroom to know Fury lost his arbitration case?

And this isn’t the music business, what the hell do you mean he doesn’t pay them royalties? Boxing isn’t a song, where the copyright is in the composition and the artist’s manager ensures they get royalties wherever their song is played. It genuinely feels like you’re making this up.

As for whether I’d like ‘more info’ - you haven’t even given me any ‘info’ in the first place, just unsubstantiated gossip that makes no sense. Not to mention it’s entirely irrelevant to the topic of the article.
