Buse Naz Cakiroglu has taken the lead on the first-ever women's boxing team to represent Turkey in the Olympics. The number-one seed at flyweight, Cakiroglu picked up her third win of the Tokyo Olympics, this one good enough to secure a medal following a points win over Thailand's Jutamas Jitpong. Scores were 30-27, 30-27, 30-27, 30-27 and 29-28 in favor of Cakiroglu in their quarterfinal bout Sunday at Kokugikan Arena in Tokyo.
