Joel Diaz “Robert Garcia stole Vergil Ortiz from me”

Damn, Tim Bradley’s former trainer Joel Diaz holds no punches when talking about Robert Garcia calling him dishonest and shady for stealing fighters from him and other trainers, LOL. Dude, states that loosing Vergil Ortiz it’s what hurts him the most through out his career. Diaz says that he sent Vergil over to Robert’s gym to spar Brandon Rios for the Danny Garcia fight and that Vergil never returned to his gym b/c Robert put ideas into Vergil Sr. head and convince him to leave him and switch over to Robert as his co trainer.

Diaz is full of ****. Robert has had the hottest gym in California not named Wildcard since Rios first had his come up. Diaz has a much smaller stable and it’s an entirely different atmosphere.

Ortiz joined up with RGBA because he thought he would grow more there, and that’s on him. Trying to paint Garcia as some shady character because Ortiz left after visiting Roberts gym is lame as ****.

if your girl wasn’t loyal to you, blame your girl and maybe blame yourself, but trying to make it the other mans fault is a ***** move.

Diaz seems to have a few screws loose. Obviously Ortiz didn’t feel 100% confident with Diaz so he left him. Diaz sounds petty as hell.

IIRC, Pita scouted Ortiz, Tanajara and Franco from amateur tournaments and told his dad to go after them. Ortiz DID used to beat the dog crap out of Mattyhsse in Diaz's gym, but I never have read or heard that Diaz was the head trainer of his.
