Comments Thread For: The Heavyweight Waiting Game

By Tris Dixon - Around this time in 2021 we were due to find out who was the top man in the heavyweight division. We were told Tyson Fury against Anthony Joshua was incoming and there would not just be not just one fight but a rematch, too, and all the belts would be unified.

Fury is a FRAUD. If you believe the CoVid excuse, I have a few bridges to sell you. I hope the 'Gypsy King' snorts a few more 8-balls and his freakin' heart explodes.

The POS sanctioning bodies are supposed to force contenders to fight each other. Not let them do nothing or fight no hoper bums while waiting in line. The alphabet soup orgs are a cancer for boxing.

Heavyweight boxing is trash, we have quite a few good fighters but can't get a decent fight for love nor money, we should have had an undisputed champ 3 years ago, and ALL the top heavyweights have blame in why we don't.

The big shame is that multiple belt holders fight 1-2 times a year at most. They should be forced to face a mand for each bealt once a year. So...4 belts? 4 fights at least! They should be prepared for this!

Ps. Calling Charles Martin an upcoming heavyweight is really odd.

I don't know if I even have the energy to comment much about this bs the division should be way further ahead and certain fights already made but as usual with modern boxing we won't see these fights until they are all shot to bits

We already know who is the best. Fury.

AJ got beaten so bad he quit, after being knocked down 4 times by a fat Mexican. So it's definitely not AJ.

AJ needs to beat the top dog of he wants to be considered the best. So far he's beaten a fat blimp who didn't even bother to train for the fight , and a 40 year old, has been.

Besides Fury and Joshua, and Wilder because of his power, who else is there in the heavyweight division?

In terms of depth, it's the worst era since the Klitschkos, who were very good, but what opposition did they really have.

                  Hrgovic, Joyce , Usyk, Whyte , Ruiz , Wallin , Parker , Ajagba , Martin , even Ortiz ( if he’s still active ) are just a few .

People who just watch the title holders are pretty much casual fans that say there’s no one around there’s literally a good list of 20 fighters you could match up and at least 10 very good prospects coming up right around the corner .

The likes of Wallin and Parker are not great. I'm not a casual at all, I go back to watching true greats, Sugar Ray Robinson, Louis, Marciano, Ali, the four kings and more.
