Comments Thread For: Yarisel Ramirez Drops Decision To Nikolina Cacic, First U.S. Fighter Eliminated From Olympics

Yarisel Ramirez was the last boxer to make the U.S. Olympic boxing team and the first to compete in Tokyo 2020. The featherweight also suffered the unfortunate fate of being the first American boxer to exit Olympic competition. Nikolina Cacic made history for Croatia, entering as the nation's first-ever female boxer and also claiming a win over Ramirez in the Round of 32 in the women's featherweight division.

The Rock jinxed her. 5-0 blowout. Damn shame, and the other two boxers eeked out razor close wins.

We're a LONG way away from the days of Spence and Floyd.

Cacic had a really ugly style; she'd throw a combo and on the last punch use her long ass arms to wrap around Ramirez head and put her in a headlock so she couldn't work throw anything back, yanking her around the ring by her head in the process. Might be legal but not what you want to see in the Olympics.

A lot more roughhousing being allowed across the board in boxing in this years Olympics.
