Pac is facing a dangerous fighter and deserves credit but it can also be true that he believes Spence is compromised from the car accident and feels Crawford is too dangerous (which is why he said publicly he wanted 40 mil guaranteed for Crawford but is getting less than that for this fight). Either way, I think pac has bitten off more than he can chew based on how Spence performed against Danny Garcia.

I regularly defend Crawford on here but he’s the guy that needs to step up, not Spence.

Spence has been consistently facing the top tier guys at 147 whilst Crawford hasn’t.

Perhaps Pacquaio took a dig at Mayweather. He said he fights real fighters, and Spence is better than Floyd.

Spence is one of the best, but I wouldn't say he is better or equals Mayweather, except being a better puncher. I'd like to see Spence move up to middleweight and assess how he does there.

Forget about the Crawford fight, if it happens, it happens.

Theres a reason Spence ducked Crawford these past 3 years. Yeah, he's faced better opp cause they all in house but that dont take away the fact that haymon and pbc have refused to make a fight "across the street" since you know, Spence cant cross without his daddy's permission.

Can you clarify what you mean? I'm not sure I follow how the guy doing the ducking (Spence) is the one fighting better competition. Wouldn't the guy who ducks be the one fighting inferior competition, at least generally?

Crawford called him out to his face, in videos, in interviews, etc over the last 3 years. Spence kept repeating the same line of "he's across the street" like thats a barrier that can never be crossed. Spence barely spoke Crawfords name until recently and only then was it "70-30 if the fight happens". If pricing yourself out aint another duck, i dont know what is.

Now look, I dislike Arum as much as the next and at this point if Crawford re-signs with TR after his contract is up in October then I'll definitely hate on Crawford too.

Gotcha, yeah I see what you're saying. I think that's a fair point. Crawford definitely deserves his share of criticism for avoiding better fighters also.

I think what it comes down to is if a fighter wants a fight he needs to a) back the other guy into a corner by beating the guys who build the fight (i.e. being able to say 'hey, I've beat everyone else') and b) push his team (promoters, managers, etc) to make it happen. Spence is better at A, but deficient at B and the opposite can be said for Crawford.

In the end it's a damn shame.

EDIT: Also, yes agree that if Crawford resigns that tells you all you need to know on that front
