Darius Fulghum once put his nursing career on hold in pursuit of a spot on the U.S. Olympic roster. With that goal no longer a reality, the nation's top-rated amateur will take his talent to the pro ranks. Following a successful amateur career that saw him land as the number-one ranked U.S. heavyweight, Fulghum will now turn pro, under the guidance of S-Jam Boxing headed by Sam Jones and Adam Morallee. The 24-year-old Houston product is likely to make his pro debut later this fall, competing in the light heavyweight division, Jones told BoxingScene.com.

The son of a US Army 1SG huh? Never heard of the promotion he signed with and therefore when we will get to see him fight on the airwaves but I sure hope this young man does well

Darius was a solid Amateur, way too small for this ERA of Heavyweights so likely a Light Heavyweight or Cruiserweight as a PRO but he Decent wouldn't consider him a Blue Chip Prospect or nothing like that but should have a Decent Pro Career

he manages Joe Joyce, Lerrone Richards and a few others.

Sam Jones has got a small, but pretty solid stable of upcomers. Johnny Fisher, Soliman Dacres, and Florian Marku in addition to the names mentit above. He'll probably sign with Matchroom or Queensbury.
