Clinton Woods Still Silent, Ear Infection Disclosed

Promoter Dennis Hobson has said that he will help Clinton Woods rebuild should the Sheffield light-heavyweight decide to continue his boxing career. Woods, 37, took some huge shots in losing to Tavoris Cloud last Friday night, leading Hobson to conclude that his man was done and dusted.

i never saw him schooling cloud..it seemed he was giving cloud problems earlier in the rounds with his jab but cloud figured him out..anyway i thought the towel should have been thrown in..he was taking way to many flush shots and from someone who hits as hard as cloud he could of gotten brain damage..hang em up woods, you had a good run

He doesn't have that gear of changing styles and adapting so much, that's why. The ear infection thing I'm caught, I guess if it's fact then yes it's a factor. But a close friend of his died very shortly before the Tarver fight.

In fairness Woods himself to my knowledge hasn't raised these as excuses and they are actual happenings, but a class fighter often finds a way to dig deep and over come things, Woods never was or will be such a classy fighter to do so.

Good fighter, but where for him now I don't know. If Cleverley beats him he's got to retire.

This gets on my ****ing ****. He had "problems" with his trainer before the Tarver fight, now an "ear infection". ****ing bull****. Hey Clinton guess what you don't HAVE to fight if you're not 100%. Maybe its that you are a tough warrior but also 37 years old and slow and shot to ****. I'm getting sick of excuses these days when fighters are handily beaten by a better fighter. Take it like a man.
