Comments Thread For: Joshua-Usyk Heavyweight Title Fight Set For September 25, Announcement Forthcoming

Anthony Joshua is finally set to move on with his heavyweight title reign. The unified heavyweight titlist will next face unbeaten WBO mandatory challenger Oleksandr Usyk, with their long-discussed matchup due to take place September 25 and likely at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London. It's not the fight that was targeted by Joshua at the start of 2021 but the next one he gladly accepts in light of events that otherwise consumed far too much of his time.

Joshua will duck and if the fight somehow happens the only way he wins is via robbery if Hearns pays off the judges, but that's unlikely because he's gonna gas out and be ko'd

If none of the above happens and AJ wins cleanly it's because Usyk is a blown up cruiser and over the hill.

      NSB taught me the above

Usyk is too small for Joshua. AJ will knock him out inside 5

AJ continues to fight top ranked heavyweights while Wilder and Fury fight 25 times.

Announcement in two weeks? Or right after the Wilder-Fury fight?

That's a likely scenario. Wait and see if Fury wins. If Wilder somehow pulls it off...the Usyk fight gets announced. If Fury wins as they expect...it's back to paying Usyk to sit out so they can do the undisputed fight in December without the risk.

If Usyk gets off to his usual slow start can see this ending early, inside 3.

Think AJ will be looking for a statement win and will not want Usyk to settle and get into his rhythm, so AJ inside 3 for me.
