BoxingScene.com has learned that the IBO cruiserweight bout between Roy Jones Jr. and champion Danny Green may get pushed back to December 2, a Wednesday, in Australia. The fight was going to be held on the tentative date of November 21 but I hear the fight would make more money, in Australia, if they held it at the midweek point. [details]

That's pretty funny, Jones relegated to fighting nobodies on a Wednesday in Australia. No wonder he wants to fight Hopkins so bad. He should jump on that 40% if he had any brains. To bad he's a dumb hillbilly.Comment

I think its true that a mid-week bout would make more $$$.
Mundine-Green was on a Wednesday in Sydney and made a ****load of money.

I'd rather RJ fight Bhop or a titlist from LHW or CW. But IBO champ Green is just fine. All RJ is tryin to do is put on good performances for the fans at this point, and he can do it in this fight. I'll be watchin 4 sho.Comment

Yeah, I live in Brisbane so I will obviously go down to Sydney if it is at all possible. The only problem is that if it is a mid-week fight work may prove problematic. I was planning on flying down there late Friday if the fight was on the Saturday and then back on the Sunday. December is typically one of our biggest months though so it might be a little harder for me if it is on a Wednesday.Comment
