  • Comments Thread For: Logan Paul: Mayweather A Little Slower Than I Expected; His Age Finally Came Into Play

MIAMI GARDENS, Florida - Logan Paul applauded Floyd Mayweather's intelligence and skill after their eight-round exhibition Sunday night. Paul was surprised, though, that the 44-year-old Mayweather wasn't as quick as he expected during their unofficial fight. The bigger, younger Paul felt like Mayweather capitalized on virtually every mistake he made, but the social media and YouTube superstar realizes he didn't face anywhere near a prime Mayweather.

Floyd owed it to himself to get in fighting shape for this exhibition. He didn't, and he looked bad. If Floyd ever enters the ring again -- even for an exhibition, I hope that he trains properly. For a fighter who never wanted to take unnecessary punishment, failing to train properly is a foolish mistake.

Exactly, he took a few shots to the head from a 200 lbs man, which is not good for you no matter how sloppy the puncher is. Protect yourself at all times.

There was a moment when it looked like Mayweather knocked out Logan for a second or two and held him up. So for a 44 year old fighter that hardly trained and was really outweighed, he did pretty damn good. Obviously not the fight or performance anybody wanted but what did people really expect from this sideshow of an event.

It looks like Mayeather put more people to work, than came to see the live show. He got some of his sprouts air time and an upset on the card too. From the promoters point of view, he made a buck. He's still in the game, but a one man show won't last long, he has to produce a crop. Has to. Like the old scholars teaching in groves, writing in sand, had to.

What are you talking about? Floyd did train properly.

He did pretty damn good? What would OK have looked like?

Paul talks a lot of **** for a guy who was gassed in the 3rd round when mayweather only threw 20 something punches the first two rounds and then fought the rest of the fight to survive rather than win.

If it was a 12 round fight he would have probably collapsed from exhaustion.

Say all you want about Logan. The guy who's an 0-1 fighter, who competed with a 50-0 fighter and was able to hold his own and never got knocked out. That's a win in many eyes..
