Comments Thread For: Malignaggi: Wilder is Going To Get Smoked By Fury in Trilogy Fight

Former two division champion Paulie Malignaggi is backing Tyson Fury to demolish Deontay Wilder in their third meeting, which is scheduled for July 24 in Las Vegas. In their first meeting, in December 2018, the bout ended in a controversial twelve round split draw. Wilder dropped Fury twice. The second knockdown coming in the twelfth and final round - with Fury miraculously getting up in time to finish the fight.

Depends if Fury takes this seriously. Now the expectations are that he would and should win. I can’t remember the last time he was the overwhelming favourite against a bigger name. Complacency can play a part here.

I miss Paulie on SHOW....but I gotta disagree. I recently watched Fury VS Wilder 2. While Fury is clearly a better boxer, that's not saying much at all. Fury is a big man with average boxing skills at best - that's still the story of the current state of heavyweight boxing. It sucks! With this being said, something was clearly wrong or went wrong with Wilder that night. He can't box; we know this. But he seemed out of gas quickly (maybe it was the weight), his legs were gone, and he was bleeding heavy from the ears (from a punch or punches; his equilibrium was off). Fury is not a clear favorite. Wilder can still knock him out. This isn't a clear fight to call. For example, when Mike Tyson fought Michael Spinks, you knew who would win. If they fought 10 out of 10 times, you knew who would win. You can't say the same when it comes to Fury VS Wilder. It's a "pick em" fight!

If Fury takes Wilder as seriously as the second fight. If not he might end up getting caught.
