Comments Thread For: Josh Taylor: Teofimo Lopez Only Has 3 Belts, He is NOT Undisputed!

Last month in Las Vegas, Josh Taylor made history when he pulled off a twelve round unanimous decision over Jose Ramirez to unify the IBF, WBA, WBC, WBO junior welterweight titles. Taylor becomes one of the few males fighters in history to unify his entire division in the four belt era.

Yes Teofimo is undisputed and the #1 fighter at 135, but Haney is the legitimate WBC champion. Lopez just has the franchise.

"I genuinely think I’d beat him up if we ever meet but I’ve no real interest in Teofimo Lopez." - Josh Taylor

I think Josh Taylor should reconsider! Teofimo (and his Father) is already doing his part to hype the fight, unlike Crawford, which is why Taylor vs. Lopez would be a more lucrative event! Taylor should fight Catterall at home, while Teofimo fights Haney. If Teo beats Devin, then we have the "Battle of the Undisputed!" That's much more intriguing than Crawford vs. Taylor!

WBC "Franchise" designation (it NOT a title!)= WBC helping their champ to save face when vacating their title instead of defending it against their mando.

Teo needs to settle the crap and fight Haney. Throw the franchise title in the trash and fight Haney to prove he is undisputed

Lopez would probably beat Haney & Taylor because he is a sharper puncher. All 3 are good boxers.

Hey, Barrios owns a WBA strap, does it mean Taylor is not undisputed till he beats him?.... You see how ridiculous that sounds?

Taylor is really running his mouth for a guy that only beaten an overrated Regis Prograis and a one dimensional Jose Ramirez....lol smdh....this guy is gonna crash hard....its these delusions of grandeur that has this Brit gassed up to think he actually belongs in a ring with Terence Crawford....and its those same delusions that will see him thoroughly battered.

IDK about that...Lopez is clearly the stronger puncher but Haney is BY FAR the better boxer....it would be an outstanding fight. I do think Haney was hurt against Ramirez and that wouldn't bode well moving forward against a guy like Teofimo Lopez...who is clearly a more powerful puncher than Ramirez.
