Comments Thread For: Kenneth Sims Jr. Shocks Elvis Rodriguez, Wins Majority Decision

LAS VEGAS - Kenneth Sims Jr. produced the type of win Saturday night that was expected of the accomplished amateur when he turned pro six years ago. Chicago's Sims upset previously unbeaten junior welterweight prospect Elvis Rodriguez in an eight-rounder ESPN televised as part of the Jose Ramirez-Josh Taylor undercard from The Theater at ****** Hotels Las Vegas. Rodriguez was listed as at least a 25-1 favorite by most Internet sports books, but an aggressive Sims out-boxed and out-punched a supposedly heavier-hitting opponent to win a majority decision.

Rodriguez looked too predictable has the power but was throwing the same combos and looked really flat good win for Sims well deserved

Elvis waited too long. I guess he thought his power was going to end the fight with one punch. Plus his stance with way too wide. Good win for Bossman Sims

I think Rodriguez needs a entirely new camp. I like the kid but as said above too predictable. Cong**** to Sims, I thought he'd get screwed with a draw or a shady decision.

TR are the best at developing their fighters with excellent match making but this fight had upset written all over it. Hopefully Rodriguez can bounce back.

Rodriguez and his manager, and team were all getting too arrogant, so just like that EXPOSED. Next on the list to get dismantled is another "bum a month" fighter named Berlanga, soon to GTFO.....

They should feed him to Morrell Jr.

Haven't thought much of Elvis, didn't see anything special, nor what all the network praise was about. Sorry Freddie.
