Like Demetruis said, Billy Joe did not make the necessary adjustments to prevent destructive blows from landing clean. Conversely, Billy Joe Saunders continued employing a dangerous and unsuccessful technique from the southpaw-stance to duck/leaned in a vain and desperate attempt to evade Alvarez right-hand.

As I highlighted in the gifs that shared, from round one Billy Joe was found-out, Alvarez had no trouble connecting through Saunder's poor defense. In spite the alarming damage that Alvarez was inflicting on Saunders early in the fight, Billy did not find a way to reduce or at least naturalize Alvarez method of attack : such as, turning your left-shoulder and parry the right-hand, possibly disturbing Alvarez balance with the added force to his own momentum and ideally counter with the right-hook ( if the pick works ).

More importantly and suitable for Saunders evasive-mobile-style, pivoting to the right. Yet, Saunders being taller, longer legged southpaw, failed to implement a basic proven defensive strategy against the right-hand from orthodox. I think that the fact that the short-legged less agile power-puncher dominates the lead-foot race, constantly throughout the contest, is an indictment to Billy's lack of skills and exposes his limited abilities.

I favor Saul Alvarez over Demetrius Andrade, this opinion on the boxing displayed between Alvarez vs. Saunders is unbiased, Billy Joe Saunder's is overrated, he ducked Demetrius Andrade, and now after this awful performance his team knows they made the right decision in avoiding Andrade ; Demetrius would of toyed with Saunders.
Sorry, had a lot of things to do and haven't had a lot of time.

Fair play, you do know your boxing, like when someone arguments with very detailed breakdowns, however I stay firm in my opinion that BJS is better than Andrade, he gets hit a lot less than him, that's backed up by compubox (which are not the most reliable thing in the world but exist), his jab connects at a higher percentage than Andrade and he's had better wins and competition than Andrade, sorry but I'm just not sold in Andrade, I can't rate how good a boxer is till I see him with a good fighter, Liam Williams make him look bad at some times, Williams to me is a c-class guy, sorry but no, however I do respect your opinion as you've come with good arguments.

Someone’s going to have to hurt Canelo, hit him to the body, throw him to the ground in clinches....someone’s going to have to replicate a Holyfield v Tyson or a Honeyghan v Curry performance
^This. You won't beat AlvaRoid if you don't command his respect early, It's what Floyd, GGG & Lara did. You'll never beat him at his game.

Canelo used saunder's bad habits against him. Another fatal mistake saunders made was that lazy, wild right hook with zero set up behind it, and canelo countered it with that uppercut that did saunders in. It was a very amateurish mistake even for someone like saunders to make. I don't know what was he thinking...you can't just catch canelo like that as he is always ready for a counter.

If Saunders was leaning forward is because Alvarez is so good a hitting the body and so deceptive with his feints that he makes you think wether a head or a body shot is coming, natural relfexes will act natural if you been hit with some heavy artillery on the body, it's totally diferent saying you would do X and you would do Y, being in there is what matters, now to Andrade supporters I got bad new for you, Andrade is a guy who loves to bend to the sides, I'm very confident that if he were to fight Alvarez, once he feels those body shots he will have to bend forward to protect his liver, not only that, the guy doesn't react well to pressure, Williams made him uncomfortable on some spots in their fight and I'm very possitive he hurted him with a straight right hand.

Alvarez would be putting what Williams put but 3x times better, better faints, better shots, heavier shots, Andrade is a great fighter but you gotta be joking yourself if you favor him hugely to beat Canelo, he could, but I wouldn't bet on it, BJS to me was a harder challenge than Andrade, just my opinion, not a expert but I do think I know what I talk.

I totally agree with Andrade, however that is easier said than done because Canelo always coming and coming hard! The problem I see with many fighters facing Canelo, they don’t take away his offense by making him miss or counter effectively like Floyd did. It’s one thing to talk about it but running won’t get the job done, you have to sit in the pocket and make him miss and counter well he always throw hard and Floyd had him tired and that was a blue print but he’s so much better than then and more powerful. Andrade is a runner and it will be hard for a complete runner with ok power and countering abilities to beat him, I’m just saying!

I don't know what skill these guys are talking about. Booboo has a weak jab, underwhelming power, and run around footwork. He's not seek and destroy, he's avoid and pot shot. He'll bore us to death winning his way, but I think Canelo walks through him.

Sorry Andrade, you can’t fight with the big boys. You’re strong and athletic but have very poor boxing skills. Even Charlo will whip ya.

It's not complicated, every fighter watching knew it was coming.

    Yes, the plan worked!

    Thanks.

^Above, I submit to the boxingscene sample of what Demetrius Andrade speaks on : From the first round, Billy Joe gave Saul Alvarez all the right signals for the KO by ducking like a scared amateur. Billy Joe was so tired of getting uppercut that he actually jumped into one to be done with the contest.
I have to agree with Demetrius Andrade, knowledgeable fans of the sweet-science were studying Billy Joe Saunders tactics during the fight, I for one cringed at such low-level boxing -- that cant even be called European style, because the Euro's box straight up and long, I dont know what that was. Billy-Hoe was fighting like a scared amateur is a good way to put it.

Saunders green reactions, did not make it difficult for Saul Alvarez to find the means to effectively exploit his flawed defense. Andrade's detractors will not accept that 'Boo-Boo' would actually compete with Saul Alvarez, the comments that suggest that Billy Joe put up a fight made me laugh. This insightful quote from Andrade reinforces my confidence in WBO middleweight champion, his knowledge is at a greater level than that Euro-Bum, Billy Hoe Saunders.
