Too much talking get the fight done or move on, reminds me of Lewis v Tyson, took several years to get the fight on

Negotiations only started awhile ago the actual agreement took place a little over a month ago . Lewis vs Tyson took 6 yrs . They aren’t comparable at all .

Considering that Fury defeated Wilder in early 2020.. the fact that these guys will fight a year later is pretty amazing. Boxing is usually full of B.S and it takes several years for the best fights to get made. Spence/Crawford have yet to fight even just once and that fight is already past it's expiration date because fans no longer care

It took less than a year from Tyson's return to him fighting Wilder. It also didn't take all this talking and maneuvering to get it made. The fight just got made

I preferred the pre social media age when fights just got announced out of the blue. Much more exciting.

Typical fan attitude - just gimme my fight. Slow down there, partner, this is business and in business you are looking to maximize the profits - that's the whole point. I'm sure boxers also want to earn as much as they can possibly make vs grabbing a first available date in the backyard of Fury's trailer.

That’s why some of the most important fights never took place , with social media it puts more pressure to make the fights by putting promoters , fighters n the spot light it also created great competition between the promotions . This makes for quicker better fights and less dragging feet .

Wilder had no PPV events at that time so he had no bargaining power to demand much . The bargaining power actually belonged to Fury despite no belt because they were able to make it a PPV mega event because of him so it was easy to make that fight to an agreed 50/50 with no Covid delays happening. Team Fury were the ones who made the offers to Wilder , this time it’s team A.J that got it made and there’s plenty more involved with two champions fighting now .

I don't think big fights happen quicker now, not at all.
