Why hasn’t Bivol downgraded his status for 168, Roadblock Undisputed for Canelo?

Why would Bivol bother? If Canelo were willing to fight him, he would have instead of Kovalev.
    This.

When Bivol unifies 175, Canelo won`t be in hurry to fight him.

He's been pro for like what 6-7 years?

Also what's up with boxrec having no love for Bivol? Inactivity? He's not listed as the WBA 'Super' Champion in their champ section and in the LHW rankings he no longer exists...?

I guess Beterbiev -Joe Smith is next, this is Top rank inhouse fight. Winner will fight Bivol.

Bivol for 15 years said he would like a Canelo fight at 168, the same GGG tag lines of making another weight easy. Bivol has known for a long time along with his co-promoter Hearn what Canelo’s landscape would be. Hearn co-promotes Bivol. If Bivol told Hearn he wanted a Canelo fight then surely Hearn would advise him on where or what to do to get the fight. After beating Smith, Bivol should’ve requested a title shot initiative for the 168 WBA. In the meantime Canelo still needed BJS and Plant. There’s no telling the ease in finalizing Canelo vs Plant considering the cards Haymon has. Haymon has what Canelo needs and it won’t be easy. It really comes down to Plant. Assume the Plant fight is delayed as Haymon figures out a way to get Benavidez or Charlo in Plant’s place, Hearn would’ve showed this scenario to Bivol to take initiative. Plenty of enough time for the WBA to make a mando.
