Comments Thread For: Cotto On Upcoming Marquez Clash: Legends Never Leave Unfinished Business

The ideal of Miguel Cotto and Juan Manuel Marquez meeting in the ring extends far beyond one last hurrah for a pair of ring legends. "Legends never leave unfinished business," Cotto revealed through his verified social media platforms on Monday, verifying a previous report from BoxingScene.com of the upcoming clash of retired former four-division titlists.

Why not? There's nothing there anyways.
The current crop of fighters don't want to fight each other.
    They just love to growl.

I'm not sure a lot of the current crop even growl. There's a lot of yapping from a safe distance behind their platform.

This is only happening because not 1 single big name fighter is making the fights real boxing fans want to see. So some of these old heads who used to make those kind of fights are seeing an opening to make money off their names and legacy. Can’t blame them.

They can't have UNFINISHED BUSINESS since they never had any business at all with each other to begin with!

                    that is a fair point

Marquez was never a genuine welter... and Cotto moved up to 154 back in 2010, when Marquez was still fighting at lightweight

I never heard anybody with a clue calling for that fight
