Comments Thread For: Whyte: I'm Looking For The Stoppage, I Will Stop Povetkin

Heavyweight contender Dillian Whyte (27-2, 18 KOs) was more than five pounds lighter for Saturday night's rematch with Alexander Povetkin in Gibraltor. Povetkin was a little more than four pounds heavier.

Prime Wlad couldn´t keep Pov down, AJ couldn´t keep Pov down (stopped tho). What ever Whyte lands, Povetkin has been hit much harder - and he got up again. Even in the first fight Povetkin looked more embarrassed than hurt after the KDs. It´s either Pov by KO or Whyte by a ****** robbery.

I think Josh kept povetkin down. If ref didn't stop it. But realistically whyte needs to stop him or should do if he has ambitions to one day fight Josh or fury

Granted, AJ really hurt Pov but the stubborn old man just keeps getting up.

this is about shytes level. a shot to bits povetkin, who turned up looking like a ruskie doughboy, who seems to of lost every muscle in his body. not to mention he was seriously ill with covid just months ago...can Whyte finally get his revenge?

If he splatters him again, it might just be one of the most hilarious moments in recent boxing history.

Most fighters that win a rematch where they were knocked out in the first fight, win be decision because they boxed smart and didn't get caught. Would think that Whyte would be looking to employ the best strategy to win, boxing, rather than risking and trying to go for a KO.

Whyte is in shape like in his AJ, last Chisora, or Hellenius bouts. And Povetkin looks way softer than the last fight and just a tad bit heavier. Means his time off with Covid was most likely real, like a long time off since his
                  muscle mass dropped....

i guess I’m going to say that it goes the distance this time around?

Should be an interesting fight. I can’t pick atm... but I’m just itching that it will be a Whyte win

Whyte can’t outbox Povetkin. In a boxing match, it would be a 12-0 clinic.
