Comments Thread For: Dillian Whyte Lighter, Alexander Povetkin Heavier For Rematch Than For First Fight

Dillian Whyte weighed in Friday afternoon at close to his weight for his impressive knockout of Dereck Chisora in their rematch two years ago. London's Whyte stepped on the scale at 247 1/4 pounds for his rematch against Alexander Povetkin on Saturday night, about five pounds less than he weighed for their first fight. Russia's Povetkin, the WBC interim heavyweight champion, officially weighed in at 228 1/4 pounds.

      Impressive knockout?

He was losing, until Eddie's ref started taking points off Del Boy for no reason, forcing Del to open up and look for the KO, and leaving himself open in the process.

Whyte was in the shape of his life for the first fight, he just got KO'd by the better boxer.

Is this an actual final eliminator this time? Or does it just depend?

They both seem to be serious regarding this rematch, which is why I regard this as a great matchup!!

Even though Povetkin was a PED freak at one time, it doesn’t mean he hasn’t ever incorporated some integrity in breaking down a serious opponents boxing strategy - and vice versa when it comes to delusional tough as ass nails Whyte......

I’m looking forward to this matchup. Both these guys don’t seem to be pathetic strategic combative buffoons - aside from their temporary buffoon usage of PEDs during their respective careers, ....hopefully this fight will squelch all doubt from BOTH their twisted agendas to obtain boxing “glory” from PED usage...

Whyte - who just previously spewed his conceited claims of superiority against Povetkin - will finally be tested against an experienced PED (hopefully) free past Olympian that took PRIDE in his earlier amateur Olympian days - by representin’ (again hopefully) PED free.

                  I have a more relevant reference, Maskaev-Rahman.

It’s a good thing these guys didn’t go the route of Tyson Fury with the compromised GLOVE, PED usage and NOT KEEPING his WORD.
......Whyte & Povetkin can at least set a new precedence by keeping it drug free real. And by showing how Tysons hypocrisy is glove motivated...
