Comments Thread For: Vergil Ortiz Emerges as Real Threat in Welterweight Division

The words of Vergil Ortiz, Jr. have continued ringing days after his knockout victory over Maurice Hooker Saturday night at the ****ies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas. "I would love the opportunity to fight Terence Crawford. If I get any opportunity, I would take it. I don't care if I'm ready or not; I want that fight."

Don't do it Oscar. Vargas never recovered from that beating from Tito. Let him fight other prospects for two or three more fights, then you can toss him in with lions.

Vergil's face emerged looking like mashed chipotle peppers vs. Maurice Hooker, then he tried speaking Spanish in the post fight interview and said ' OH F*UCK! hahaha!

Yeah he needs a lot of work on his defense, but he at least showed his durability. He didn't get knocked down like Ryan and he received more damage.

And I feel him on the Spanish part. My Spanish sucks and whenever I try the same thing happens. You get stuck on one word and you just give up haha.

He was only backing Hooker, let that sink in everyone. The chump that got a gift draw vs an ageing Darleys Prez all those years ago was going to beat Ortiz... I'll have a smoke of what you're smoking.

Vergil has been taking Spanish lessons from Sergio Mora, backstage.

Lies, I havent been around since the 'downgrade'. But the technicians finally fixed the multi-quote feature so I'm back. Whats the matter bruh, did my comment about ''mashed chipotle'' reminded you of the 'Tart-Tomato' Josh Taylor's inevitable destruction, when he faces Jose Ramirez?

Fans need to be pushing Crawford to take it.
