Comments Thread For: Jesus Ramos: I Felt Good At Welterweight, I Might Stick Aroun...

Jesus Ramos has yet to see the 7th round of any given fight, though his latest ring appearance gave him the chance to try out a new weight division. A 2nd round stoppage of Jesus Emilio Bojorquez marked what could be the start of a welterweight campaign for the 19-year-old southpaw. Saturday's Fox televised bout saw Ramos weigh a career-heavy 146 3/4 pounds, though wearing the weight well as he closed the show in style at Shrine Auditorium & Expo Hall in Los Angeles.

I would like to see more of Ramos. Give him some tougher competition though. Seems like a likable guy. Could be a future contender. Great prospect.

It is a step up, but calling it a MAJOR step up is making it seem like he is fighting a top 15 140 pounder. Don't get me wrong, I still like the fight and Molina is very durable so this should go rounds which is what Ramos needs.

Man, the Molina bros were very good amateurs. Didn't quite pan out in the pros but they had a solid amount of hype in California.

He needs to go by the nickname of "Spock" because of those eyebrows!

Javier Molina next up for Ramos on the Ruiz/Arreola undercard. A step in the right direction for sure. Will be interesting to see how they end up moving him.

To me this kid is the best prospect on the PBC roster even better than Melnicki and Spencer who to me don't look as polished or as skilled as Ramos. I think Ramos get a title shot before Spencer or Melnicki even fight a top 10 guy
