Comments Thread For: Maurice Hooker: I Need To Prove I Can Still Be A Champion At Welterweight

Maurice Hooker will enter this fight near his hometown in a decidedly different position than the last time he boxed near Dallas. He entered his last bout in the Dallas area as an undefeated world champion attempting to add another title to his resume. A year-and-a-half after losing that bout by sixth-round technical knockout to Jose Ramirez, Hooker seeks to redeem himself against another undefeated fighter.

Hooker ain’t w/t PBC, according to Dan Rafael the deal fell through. Mo signed a two fight deal w/t Golden Boy the first fight is the Vergil Ortiz fight once he gets KO’d, the second fight will likely be against Speedy Ellis.

Thank you, that makes more sense. I actually thought he was signed with PBC, I knew a fight like this would never happen under their watch.

Hooker, I hope you are house hunting too; you know you can't live there anymore after being brutally knocked the hell out!
