Anthony Dirrell's hopes of chasing a third title reign hit a speed bump. The former two-time WBC super middleweight titlist struggled to turn away the challenge of Kyrone Davis in their Fox-televised main event Saturday evening at Shrine Auditorium & Expo in Los Angeles. The two fought to a 12-round split decision draw in their sanctioned title eliminator.

When both the Dirrell brothers turned pro, would you have believed someone if they told you it was Anthony that would go on to have the more notable career?!

Andre had the backing of Showtime. The Super Six Super Middleweight Tournament...a victory against Carl Froch, in which he put on his track shoes ...DQ win, after being brutally knocked out with an illegal punch from "King" () Arthur Abraham...overmatched opponents...losses to Degale and Uzcategui...

Meanwhile Anthony is toiling away on undercards until his coming out party against Sakio Bika. Since then, he's surpassed Andre as the "notable brother".

I still don't like that mofo cuz he threw down his 2nd place trophy at the Michigan Golden Gloves back in the day.

But yea I'd have bet a nice clip of money on Andre being the better brother. Crazy how things can work out.
