If Taylor, Dirrell or Ward wins the tournament, they will be huge superstars for sure, but what happens if one of the EU-fighters wins

Anyway looking forward to the fights. Before the tournament was announced we would all be drooling for a possible Taylor vs. Abraham, Dirrell vs. Froch or Ward vs. Kessler fight ........... right !!

As a Kessler fan, 2 months ago, i would have done anything if Kessler would go to US to fight Ward, or fighting Froch in Copenhagen or go to US to fight Taylor............ and now we got all 3 fights !!!!!!!!

Sure fans of the other fighters and boxing fans in general feels the same for the fights to come.

    LETS GET READY TO ......

Look-I am anxious for all these fights as well.I can understand your point of view, but people are turned into stars for a few reasons.Time and money invested into these fighters, hype surrounding them, and most importantly (but not the sole reason) on who they beat. The fact is,most people watch American fights,so American fighters are bound to get attention.Their fights are advertised WORLDWIDE.In America, you simply don't get a lot of the European fights, and when they do happen, its usually just a one off.. Europeans don't advertise to the degree that Americans advertise their fighters worldwide.the Klitschkos had a big chance to win over America, but failed to keep fighting there.I strongly believe Vitali would have made a bigger name for himself after the performance of the Lennox fight.Like I said-Americans cheered for him during and after that fight even though he lost.
As far as Taylor,Dirrell, and Ward being stars from this-keep in mind, they are ALL very much underdogs in this tournament. If they win, they deserve the respect from being given no chance by the public, then winning. Also bear in mind, that my view is that whoever wins should still get respect, but as underdogs, there is more to persevere.Make sense?

It goes both ways-what I am saying is not ALL Americans bash "your" fighters. As far as insulting countries,I haven't heard many complain about Europe.Hell,I have been to Europe and I like it,but if you want respect, you have to change your mindset as well. It's funny, because I see a lot of Americans sporting pictures of Kessler, Calzaghe, Froch, etc on their pictures-does that seem like disrespect.Im just wondering at this stage if its really just a complex with you as an individual.Take people on a one on one basis when it comes to American, some may surprise you when it comes to their views...let the other ones stay ignorant..

Let me give you a hint-yes they were American, but because they were advertised and shown to the world. That is what is missing with European fighters. They are mainly promoted in their own countries-sometimes against limited opposition.American fighters are promoted and sometimes overhyped to the whole world-so everyone knows about them .Its the entertainment business,so worldwide advertising is a demand for names to get big,to bring in the PPV's around the globe.I cannot remember the last time Kessler, Vitali, etc has been advertised to fight on ppv-and then you wonder why they aren't "superstars"....

Since when was Holmes, Spinks, Mayweather etc. global superstars? Hint: they where never shown in Europe.

This might be news for you, but there's actually a market for boxing outside the HBO broadcasting area.

I doubt anyone is getting robbed at least in the AA/Taylor fight because is probably won't go to the cards. Like many think, Taylor will probably sweep all round until the middle or late rounds when he gases out and gets hit with a monster shot by AA and is KTFO. I don't trust Taylor's chin in this fight, this being the first one back off of a ko loss. Taylor is a dark horse to win this though if he got his stamina in order as he does have the skills and talent to outpoint any of the participants......It seems very unlikely that any of the Americans will come through and win this, we have 2 unproven and relatively inexperienced fighter in the pros and 1 who might be finished.

Funny-cause I noticed the Americans cheering for Vitali on that fight. You keep mentioning ONE fighter that got "no" respect, but look-at the end of the day,he got enough respect to be able to be involved with American boxing to this day.He regularly commentates on major fights.I think you will find, not all Americans disliked,or disrespected Lennox.I think its funny that Lennox gave Vitali NO credit what-so-ever and said he fights like a typical "European " when Americans cheered for him, but when they boo Lennox, you complain about Americans not respecting Europeans.I think this is just a case of generalization...not facts.
