Diaz is a very good Lightweight. He shouldn't be fighting guys at 140. He's too small and not a big enough puncher to make up for the lack of size.
That's the key though. I mean, Hatton looked pretty big in those photos with Ali and who knows if he has lost his fire for the sport after losing to Pac. He's already faced two no 1 P4Ps and made a whole lot of money in the process. He is beloved in his home country so what else is out there for him. Add the health concerns and I am inclined to believe that Hatton might just have one more fight in him and it might as well be a farewell fight in England against a known but very beatable opponent.

Actually, now that I think about it twice Diaz would be a perfect fit.

Look at what hatton did to paulie. He made the guy cry in his stool on the 2nd round as a result of almost knocking his head off.

Imagine what hatton would do to diaz???

Diaz is not much of a power puncher. And yes i do agree the fight should be in england.Ticket revenue wise and PLEASE we dont want another episode in HOUSTON.
If you know about boxing you should know by know that styles makes figths right??? Margarito beat the **** out of cotto, but cotto beat mosley and mosley beat the **** out of margarito. Explain that to me?? now remember forrest beat mosley mosley beat mayorga mayorga beat the **** of forrest. ETC, ETC. do you want more if paulie would of stand there and trade the outcome would of been different but since he is paulie he just moves away, hatton can't do that for 12 rounds so it would be a different outcome. I don't even considered hatton a big puncher yes he is stronger than diaz but he is not a one ko puncher diaz has a solid chin he took pretty good hard shots by marquez until getting caught with a spectacular one.

I dont care if Diaz gets crushed by Hatton, this would be an entertaining fight, and I would go for it. I mean, I dont see Hatton fighting Bradley or any of the other top 140lbers, do you guys?
It could probably be A youre right he probably got finished by JMM or B if you look at the styles the reason why it seemed that he was giving JMM a tough fight was because he was the aggressor and thats the way it looked but nobody was paying attention to all the body punching by JMM or the counter punches with combinations he was doing at the same time. You don't see that until you watch the fight in slowmo and see how JMM was landing the same rate of punches or more than diaz. JMM style is not to completely run like paulie his style is to mix it up box and counter punch. Remember his 2 fights against pac how it looked like pac was getting in there with ease but every-time he got in there JMM counter with better punches thats his style did paulie stand there for a little bit?? the only time i saw paulie stand there was round 2 and everybody saw how he got hit with nearly everything Jdiaz threw. Thats why that was the outcome of the fight if paulie would of done what he did in round 2 he probably would of got ko or it wouldn't even been a competitive fight. Paulie vs a guy like marquez he gets tattoed allnight long.

He's never gonna headline a bigtime PPV in Vegas again. He's got plenty of options like Bradley, Khan, Victor Ortiz, Valero, Juan Diaz but I think his ego is too big for them plus none of these guys brings the type of money or notoriety he's wants. The real action is at 147. That's the type of juice and big time fights he's looking for. It would take something that dramatic to turn his career around, but we all know he won't go there.

Add in fact, that he's always abused his body and will still need to come back down 30-40lbs. again which is INSANE. He should either retire or have a farewell fight in Manchester, but stick a fork in him. He's done.
C0-sign! He should be put first with Victor Ortiz, Valero or Khan to test what he'd got from Malignaggi if it was genuine or fake before putting him to Bradley and Hatton! many fans aren't only unconvinced, but rather don't believed he won over malignaggi. But I think the best match for him will be an immediate rematch with Malignaggi to erase doubts to him.

One female fan actually sent a formal complaint, about Van Hoy, to the athletic commission in Texas. Another fan, or writer, released a fabricated press release, with fabricated quotes, demanding a Diaz-Malignaggi rematch in New York. Some websites were served and ran it as a legit DiBella Inc. press release. Lou DiBella informed me on Tuesday that nobody in his company had anything to do with that press release. [details]
Diaz is a piece of ****.. lmao.. he's not willing to go to Manchester to fight Hatton!? but he wants anyone to fight him in texas.. looks like this is the only place he would get a decision at... Ricky would steamroll Diaz.. even if it was in Houston..

I agree. If Hatton is anything of his former self (or half of it or anything), he beats Diaz.

Diaz isn't a boxer, he brawls. What we would see is a slugfest, with Hatton winning the exchanges if they decide to trade. That's how I see it at least.

I mean, Hatton's done, but he can beat someone like Diaz. He just can't compete against the very elite, that's all.
