Panamá.- El panameño Elías Córdova, ex presidente de la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo (AMB), murió en esta capital a los 92 años, aquejado por un cáncer en el sistema digestivo, informaron hoy fuentes deportivas.
Córdova, que fue dos veces presidente de la AMB en la década de los setenta, murió en la madrugada del pasado domingo en el Hospital Nacional de esta capital.
El ex dirigente de la AMB, que también fue miembro y presidente de la Comisión de Boxeo de Panamá, había sido nombrado por la Asociación Mundial de Boxeo como su "presidente honorario".
Las honras fúnebres del antiguo presidente de uno de los organismos que gestionan el boxeo mundial se llevarán a cabo el próximo miércoles en la capital panameña.


Panama-The Elias Córdova, former President of the World Boxing Association (AMB), Panamanian died in this capital at the age of 92, oversaturated by cancer in the digestive system, today reported sports sources. I saw a few pics of this boxer here this weekend. He is ridicuously tall, but unless he is planning to fight at LHW, he needs to pack 15 pounds of muscle and fight as a full-blown CW, very skinny tall guys often get KOd by body shots.
