Thing is Hopkins was a class act and didn't ***** about it, nor did he speak much about it, and put 4 titles on the line. Also Oscar pulled a SRL and had him come in even lighter.

        Yes it was.

Some people (not many, but a few) on message boards complained about it. ESPN interviewed De La Hoya on the topic of the catchweight after they weighed in.

It just didn't get the type of attention as this Pac-Cotto has.

For one, Hopkins said in previous interviews that he'd fight DLH at a catchweight, so there wasn't this dispute between the 2 camps.

Plus, everyone figured Hopkins would win anyway, so most people didn't care.

DLH was even interviewed regarding the catch weight by ESPN after the weigh-in (which was a pretty lively one).

            You didn't miss much.

            The fight was pretty dull.

The build-up was more exciting to me than the actual fight itself.

It wasn't a catchweight fight because it wasn't public knowledge. It trickled out later that Oscar made Hopkins "make some concessions" to make the fight happen. They didn't advertise it as a catchweight fight because Oscar told them to keep it a secret.

                But everything eventually leaks
