I wouldn't call this an upset... had seen the kid fight and knew he was fast. Wilson has a long way to go but the talent is there. I expected him to win last night but didn't think he was getting the KO!

Wow, you and I watched two separate shows. I thought it was terrible to be honest, and can't even believe it's part of the same series as last month's debut.Good show. I liked it more than the first episode. I also liked the new ring announcer. She botched a couple lines on the cards but she was nice to look at. All 59 seconds of the main event was highly entertaining. Good to see Nate Campbell's boy get the big win, especially after the lead announcer( not fisher or b-hop) didn't even acknowledge Campbell when they showed him with De la Hoya and Mosley. Hopefully Campbell knocks Bradley out the same way.
Amy Hayes has been a ****ty announcer for as long as she's been announcing. Once upon a time she was something to look at; now she just looks like an old lady trying to recapture her youth, the sad part being that she's not even that old.
Agreed on the Nate slight (Mario Solis is the lead announcer, BTW). As mentioned on MaxBoxing's board, that moment along with most of Hopkins' irrelevant commentary lent to the GBP infomercial feel that came with the show. It was the same problem that plagued the Boxeo de Oro series, the difference being that you didn't have to worry about the homer commentary if you didn't speak/understand Spanish.
Hopefully from here on out, they never again show heavyweights. Not only is that guy terrible, but he has one of the worst nicknames in the history of the sport. But something tells me Golden Boy goes the same route as DiBella with Tor Hamer, where we're forced to watch a ****ty heavyweight with their sales pitch that "this could be the one... the division is wide open," blah blah blah.Comment

I think it was an upset. Wilson hadn't beaten anyone worth a damn, and didn't even look particularly impressive against the guy with whom he drew. Huerta's impressed from the moment he turned pro (perhaps even earlier)
And as you mentioned, even if you thought he'd beat him, a grand total of nobody expected him to knock him out, especially that early and in that fashion.Comment

I liked the show too, but the ring announcer was nice to look at? I'm sorry I have to really disagree, she looked like a burned out Vegas showgirl or something...but her announcing wasn't bad.Good show. I liked it more than the first episode. I also liked the new ring announcer. She botched a couple lines on the cards but she was nice to look at. All 59 seconds of the main event was highly entertaining. I think Ramos is the only fighter that has something, it'll be interesting to watch him develop.
I'm with ya on Campbell.Comment
