Promoter Bob Arum has stepped down as president of Top Rank, appointing Todd duBoef to the helm of the Las Vegas-based promotional firm. duBoef, who is Arum's stepson, has been with Top Rank for 11 years and had already been running day-to-day operations. The move, however, doesn't mean Arum will disappear from the scene. He will still be involved with big fights promoted by Top Rank, which staged more televised fight cards in 2004 than any other promotional company. "I'm going to keep working until the end, until I pass away or I can't climb up on the podium anymore," Arum told the Las Vegas Review Journal. The 72-year-old Hall of Fame promoter has been in the fight game for 38 years. His first promotion was a world heavyweight title fight between Muhammad Ali and George Chuvalo, and he has staged many of the biggest closed-circuit/pay-per-view shows in the 70s, 80s, 90s and 2000s.
