why I give cotto the benefit of the doubt & why I don't understand the hate..

I don't hate Cotto at all. But I don't like this ****in Pac fight either. Sure Pac brings $, but Cotto should be rematchin SSM imo.

i kno what you sayin man,fighters should fight in their own divisions but biggest fights out ther at the moment is between fighters at a differnt wieght classes...pac vs cotto is bigger than cotto vs mosely....

Cotto is a bad-ass. Anyone who hates on him is straight up ******ed. I agree with others here abut Cotto fans though. Some of them have been seriously irritating recently. They need to take an example from mellow_mood on how to be a good fan.

besides Collazo and Berto, Cotto has fought ALL of them.

at first I was disappointed about him fighting Pacquiao but you know what?
he has earned a fight like that.. the guy has practically fought everyone in the division.
he hasn't been cherry picking his opponents like others, the least you could do is give him the benefit of the doubt.

I don't see where the hate comes from either.. you would think people would appreciate a fighter who makes an effort to fight anyone and everyone in their division. he's entertaining, very skilled yet vulnerable. watching a cotto fight you always know its going to be entertaining.

Cotto's fought everybody he possibly can fight at Welterweight, aside from Floyd ; who won't fight him for financial reasons.

He deserves a big payday, and Manny is going to give it to him.

Aside from that, Cotto's style matched up against Manny's style is a "Super Fight" that will not disappoint the fans, and it will be great for boxing in general.
