Povetkin Wants Wladimir Next – Step Aside Not An Option

By Jake Donovan - No sooner than Wladimir Klitschko’s arm was raised in victory on Saturday did the heavyweight parasites begin creeping out of the woodwork.

David Haye, the man whom was supposed to stand opposite the new lineal heavyweight king on Saturday, has been campaigning for next dibs from the moment he was forced to pull out of last weekend’s battle.

The war of words resumed this past weekend, with the brash Brit referring to Klitschko “a boring, unentertaining fighter” after his 9th round stoppage over Ruslan Chagaev and vowed to knock him out and wake up the heavyweight division should the Ukrainian grant him a title shot in the fall. Wlad can tell the IBF to go screw and fight Haye. He got the Ring belt now. But if he wants to face Povetkin and let VK take care of Haye it works out ok. VK won in court wit the WBC, so he ain't gotta take his Oleg mando.

I think Wlad should fight Povetkin, Haye should fight another contender (A top 10 guy, preferably) around the same time. Should both guys win, it sets up the fight. Then they both have the same length of inactivity too....

I don't think Vitali-Haye has the same aura, Vitali has never been dropped, so Hayes power isn't much of a factor in the fight as far as most are concerned...

im actually beginning to get annoyed with haye now, if he can't get the fight with vitali in september then look elsewhere. at first hayes trash personality added some much needed drama but his consistent failure to deliver is now getting on my nerves, he has the tools and now he needs to start using them. fights with toney thompson, sam peter, kevin johnson etc could help him gain some of the momentum he has lost since barrett.

vlad should go for the fight with povetkin, imo povetkin has earned his shot and the fight with vlad would do fairly big numbers in germany.

if haye is as good as he says he is (and i dont doubt his ability) he should have no problem getting rid of two top 10 HW's and earning his shot at vlad.

I would like to give Povetkin a chance at beating Wlad but it just seems the older he gets, the harder it is to beat him.

i agree but haye doesn't have the balls to fight any of those men..but i'm sure he would talk a good talk..and 2 weeks before the fight he would come up with a story how he hurt his hair during training.

Yep, I'll go with that. The guy needs a fight,If he keeps waiting around for the klits he aint gonna be sharp by the time the fight eventually does happen, and he will need to be tip top to beat Wlad. Forget Vitali.

Yeah, even if no one cares and Povetkin is most likely going to get crushed by Wlad, he has earned his shot.

I think Haye should earn his spot too, but he'd probably get beat trying to earn it and we'd never see the Wlad-Haye showdown lol
