I don't know who told him Curry was a mover though, Curry didn't really move around a lot, he made his opponents miss and made them pay with economic efficiency.

I would love to see Jones' fight with Palm again as I havent seen it since back in the day. As I commented on the previous article, that fight was possibly Jones' peak and the KO was one of the most vicious ever in a danish prize ring.

EDIT: I just watched it. Not quite as brutal as I remember but that first left hook was a great shot and Palm took a lot of punishment afterwards.

Colin Jones was my first boxing hero. Good to see some of the old videos - man could he punch!

I had the pleasure of visiting his gym many moons ago - it was an old shed no bigger than your average living room and falling apart at the seams ... yet it was crammed to the rafters with youngsters many of whom fought at international level in the amateurs and some made the pro ranks ... none with huge success yet though. I hear they managed to get some funding (probably tied in with his work with the amateur squad) so have slightly better facilities now but I bet nothing else has changed!

Enzo Mac could do a lot worse than get his arse down there .. it's literally 5 miles away

Ah, I see.

I definitely enjoyed reading both articles, it's always good to read a boxer's thoughts on his career a few years after they retire.
