There appears to be two date shifts in Mexico. Promoter Ignacio Huizar announced that the rematch between former champion Cristian Mijares and unbeaten WBA interim-bantamweight champion Nehomar Cermeno will be pushed back to late July or early August. Cermeno upset Mijares by way of split decision back in March. [details]

A loss for Mijares would ruin his chances of returning to the top of the heap. In my opinion, he was supposed to win that first bout against Cermeño but he was trading and wasn't the typical Cristian Mijares and that got to him in the scorecards. -
mijares is ****ing done, even when he wins clearly, the judges hate him......and he abandoned his style since he bacame well known in mexico......now he ****ing trades with everyone....Comment

Linares really needs to step his game up. He has all the tools to be a great fighter but ever since the Larios fight he has been invisible. I know he had the injury and promotion problems but after this fight he needs to step up. He used to be my favorite prospect but his in activity and easy fights is making me lose hope in him.Comment
