Like I said, 90% of his critics are actually boxing fans and not just "haters".
Fine, we can disagree on numbers and that so called other threat at 147...

This is just another, "lets cry for Floyd Mayweather" thread.
i did not say that. and as usual, you pull this drive by response and didint even read into what i was saying. this issue goes far beyond mayweather.

Mayweather Jr. is not the savior of Boxing. He's been retired for almost two years and now he'll fight about 2 or 3 more times and go back to retirement. Right when all the big fights were coming up for him, right when he was still in his prime, right after he made the big bucks he decided to leave. Now to come back for perhaps only one real fight with Pacquiao and retired again.

While Mayweather was retired Manny Pacquiao continued fighting th best the sport had to offer. Juan Manuel Marquez, David Diaz, De La Hoya, Hatton. Right after fighting Three battles with Erik Morales and fighting the undefeated Jorge Solis.

So who did more for the sport of boxing? How would fans feel if Manny Pacquiao now decided to retire avoiding to fight Mayweather, Cotto or Marquez? Would you criticize him to do what Floyd did? Think about it.

right now, manny pacman is carrying the sport on his back and making boxing exciting and bringing in casual fans, i know that, but thats not what this thread is about, at all.

The pound for pound list was pretty weak when Mayweather left. Having Calzaghe among the top 3 is just embarrassing to this sport.

So why is his name the focus of the thread if it goes far beyond Mayweather?

You're basically crying that hes the last of the mohicans.

So that people will actually pay attention to it. By using him as a focus for my example people will take a look at it.

One thing that puzzles me about you, you dislike floyd, his fans, and even reasonable fans like myself so much, yet you go out of your way to debate and discuss even the most minor of topics involving him, like this one.

Even if i didint mention mayweather, i have been on this site for so long people would already know hes a prime example of what im talking about.

Honestly, either you want to add something to what im talking about or your gonna keep throwing out these hyperboles that really have little to do with the topic its your choice how you wanna conduct yourself.

boxing was doing fine without floyd.

it was the floyd-haters and cotto-fans who kept attacking floyd that kept him on the front pages all this time.

that said I'm glad he's back

                    I did add something,

Mayweather is not and won't be the last of the "pure boxers".

                    Quit your crying already.

Manny grabbed the top spot and its making you cats mad.

Its why you felt compelled to dedicate a thread to why Floyd is so important to the sport,

because you cats are realizing the sport goes on without him, and has been much more exciting.
