The problem, which *might* be solved in he future, is that to this day only a few country provide a great place for a natural talent to develop his full potential. Imagine if Pacquiao started working under roach at age 19, after a good amateur school, if he was not spending time at a weight class completely innatural for him... Imagine what kind of things he could do with that stamina, speed... Do you think he would have had close fights with Marquez?

Bradley is a guy I'm particurlary high on because of his overall attitude. He seems to have a bit of a Hopkins or Hagler mentality where he lives and breathes boxing. Those types of guys can't help but improve as they continue their career because they work so hard.

I think it takes a special breed of star to get attention when they are smaller though. You either have to be controversial or a phenom. As it stands Bradley is heading towards more of an young Winky Wright career. Getting dodged by the bigger named fighters, but building up an admirable resume with title defenses.
i like bradley but he needs to work on defense especially against the long jab. also he needs to work on fighting on the inside by throwing hurtful punches instead of arm punches

The best boxers should be able to do it all. They can have their cup of tea, but they need to be able to change it if needed to win.

Plan A, Plan B, Plan C and having the skills to implement them.

Leonard is the fighter who ran on a bike from Duran and Hagler and the same fighter who took it to Hearns when he could not out box him.

Duran brawled with Leonard and played cute with Hagler and Duran.

        I could go on forever...

One thing you seem to forget this is profesional boxing is not only about winning but also about entertaining the fans. If boxing had 50 Mayweathers it would mean the death of the sport.
The problem is not being offensive minded, it is being sloppy and/or not having the tools to implement plan b. The man in your sig would probably be unbeaten if he had better upper body movement and positioning. So he that he would not have to move all the time in the fight he lost.

Floyd ducks top opposition, and his style is throwback, but not by a lot, because he is to Defensive at time. Throwback guys like Louis, Ali, Robinson, Leonard had offense where they could knock you out. Floyd is overrated in the such as he is the TOTAL package...

ANd there wont be another Pacquiao for a LONG TIME. i mean he has 4 Lineal titles at 4 Different Weight Classes. Had a belt in 6 different Divisions. has Wins from 106-147. Duran, Leonard, Hearns haven't even done that. There would most likely be another FLoyd than another Pacquiao in terms of acheivements and how he came up so much in weight.

But as of now, there is only one floyd and one pac man. Both Great. But Pacquiao achieved more

You are more likely to have another pure boxer than a Pac like fighter.

Name me fighters in the past that have been like Pacman.

It's much easier to think of pure boxers there have been in the past.

if you have checked the responses of this thread, you can tell who really understand the point of this thread and who doesnt. I had to put someone on ignore just a little big ago because at some point, you get tired of people being unable to have a serious discussion about this topic. The name mayweather becomes polarizing to a point where people just read two sentences and come to conclusions that i never even mentioned. I knew this would happen, but i thought so-called intelligent holier than thou posters would understand the concept, apparently i was wrong for that individual.

I think that the ability to adapt mid-fight seems to be an art lost on alot of fighters, the list is short of the amount of people who display the ring smarts to get it done when the chips are down.

I really like victor ortiz as well as abner mares, but im not sure how good they are because of the fact you dont really see them against legit comp just yet. You are right about Juanma not having to show how complete he is yet, its crazy because i am 10x more excited about juanma than i was about cotto, Juanma just looks like he has it all and doesnt need much more polish.

How many of these guys have an inside game comparable to Mayweather?

                      complete=can do everything

                      in,mid,out,

                      circling, cutting off,
                      uses every punch,
defends by parrying blocking slipping rolling ducking moving,
mixes his attack to head and body...
