Joe Calzaghe: "Carl Froch is My Stalker, Nothing More"

Well said, Joe. I was at the fight and can honestly say I was suprised at how SLOW Froch really is. I had only seen him fight against ROBIN REID,and really believed I was going to see a powerpuncher with a rock for a chin. I saw none of that. He was hurt multiple time and was 14 seconds away from losing. Taylor himself seemed very confused as to what he was doing in there and if he just kept using the jab / right hand ,the fight would not have seen 9. He seemed to be conflicted whether to box or brawl, which both were working, but you could tell that he should have brawled more at the end. I agree that Taylor has seen better days. A devastating ko, like the one against Pavlik, would affect any fighter. Even before that, he hadn't scored a knockout since before Hopkins and couldn't even hurt career welterweights like Cory Spinks and Kassim Ouma. If Joe did fight Froch, all it would do would have the boxing media concluding that Joe C picked Froch because he is clearly an easier fight than Dawson or a rematch with Hopkins or Kessler. In my opinion Froch wants this fight becuse in his mind if he wins he no longer has to face Kessler,Hopkins or even Bika(who all beat him in my opinion). He also knows he would make a huge payday and probably thinks if he won he would be vaulted in the lb for lb lists. Also, all those fans that he is now ALIENATING by constantly BEGGING Clazaghe for a fight he thinks will SUDDENLY become his fans if he wins. I'll say it untill I'm blue in the face: it would be the worst thing for Calzaghe to fight this bum. Everyone will assume he is avoiding proven fighters like Dawson,Kessler,Hopkins to get another easy win. Watching Froch from my seat at FOXWOODS I actually remember thinking thank god he isn't in there with Calzaghe. As slow as his hands and feet are and as easy as he is to hit, it would be no contest. Froch wouldn't land a punch and I bet it would look an awfull like Calzaghe-Lacy. Froch really isn't even in the same class as Joe and has no business even calling out THIS (past his prime) version of Calzaghe. My prediction is Froch had his BIG USA fight to show Calzaghe that "look I'll fight in the STATES"and you will NEVER see him fight on U.S soil again. It will be back to hand picked guys and I wouldn't bet against this HYPOCRITE fighting Roy Jones next ,since after saturday night every fighter from middle to cruiser will want a piece of Carl"the garden snake"Froch. One last thing Froch doesn't understand ,everytime you call out Joe Calzaghe it basically says ,I don't want to face the current champs,so instead I want a 37 year old retired fighter who again, everyone from middle to cruiser wants. Only its not for the same reason,For Carl its because your easy pickins, maybe not a big payday but easy pickins, for Calzaghe its because they will get rich win, lose ,or draw.

Hahahaha, thatta boy Joe. I've always been sort of hit or miss with how I feel about Calzaghe, sometimes he can be a real prick I think but other times I really like the guy.
This is one of those times where I really like him. When I was at Foxwoods on Saturday, I was about two feet away from Carl Froch after the fight, while he was walking to the locker room after the fight, and you have NO IDEA how close I came to yelling "CALZAGHE OWNS YOU!"
But I decided I would be respectful of the guy after his big win, even though I was pissed off that he beat Jermain, ****in ****...

He's got no reason to come out of retirement to fight a guy who was getting beat and saved his title bcuz his opponent has ZERO stamina!!!
If Froch thought he was getting hit by Taylor, imagine, just imagine the amount of punches he'd suffer from Joe......Heck I firmly believe Paul Williams would light FROCH UP!!!

What Calzaghe should do....
Joe has specifically addressed his retirement status repeatedly, and has expressed zero interest in facing Carl Froch. He has said it countless times now to no avail. The only recourse now is completely ignoring him and saying "No comment, I already addressed it" and ignore all further responses. The quickest solution to make anyone get the point is to completely ignore them. You can't argue with nothing.
