  • Klitschko vs. Arreola in The Summer - Will it Happen?

A few weeks ago WBC heavyweight champion Vitali Klitschko expressed his desire to fight undefeated contender Chris Arreola in the summer. Klitschko is still in a battle with the WBC, who are trying to force him to defend his title against Oleg Maskaev in a mandatory bout. Klitschko stopped Juan Carlos Gomez last mnonth in a "mandatory" bout. For some reason the sanctioning body is trying to make him go into a second mandatory and will not allow him to make a volunary defense before then. [details]

Klitschko would beat Arreola pretty comfortably IMO.

Arreola could fight 2 more fights and he still wouldn't be ready for Vitali. And if he does keep fighting other fights, the big money fight for him Vitali will probably be gone. Meaning Vitali will retire most likely if the fight wasn't made for this summer.

This would be a good fight and the wbc needs to stop with their crap. Making Maskaev the mandatory, for what? Its redicilous. Vitali wants to give his american fans and the heavyweight division a great fight against Arreola and the wbc are completely screwing it up

well the hbo commentators were making Arreola out to be something reall great and were hyping up a fight between Arreola Klitschko so looks like it could but the wbc is messing things up with their ****** mandatories

Is the wbc the ****** organization that made John Ruiz a super champion and Oleg Maskaev the mandatory for Vitali even though Maskaev got whooped by Peters. Shows you how much Maskaev has left, nothing. I know styles make fights but in this case it doesn't really matter since Maskaev didn't do anything in the Peters fight and I thought he was going to beat Sam Peter. he just came for a paycheck basically.

**** the WBC, give up the belt and take on Arreola in a summer that could help rejuvenate the HW division. W.Klitschko vs Haye and V.Klitschko vs Arreola are fights that need to happen this summer.

ye but that leaves Vitali no belt, I guess the belts in the hw division are important

Yeah, I don't think he'll ever be ready for Klitschko really, he won't beat Klitschko unless Klitschko becomes shot.
