Ring Magazine: 17 out of 20 experts picked Pacquiao over Hatton

This is just unheard of. I don't understand how a 50/50 fight is so lopsidedly in favor of one fighter in terms of boxing pundits' picks.



17 experts pick Manny Pacquiao to defeat Ricky Hatton

The current issue of The Ring magazine has 21 pages dedicated to coverage of the upcoming fight between Manny Pacquiao and Ricky Hatton. One of the features has 20 experts predicting the winner of the fight and 17 have picked Pacquiao.

The three experts who have selected Hatton are Steve Bunch (television commentator) by late-round stoppage; Mark Collings (Esquire UK) mid- to late-round stoppage and Stuart Brennan (Manchester Evening News), possibly late-round stoppage.

Interestingly, two men who have fought Hatton -- Paulie Malignaggi and Luis Collazo -- both pick Pacquiao to win. And David Diaz, who fought Pac Man, also picks Manny by TKO.

This fight is not 50/50. Pacman is clearly on another level. No disrespect to Ricky Hatton, great guy and great fighter, but he's going to get his arse kicked

They have some of the worst writers on the planet, like Raskin and Rosenthal. It doesn't surprise me they've picked Pacquiao, because they're had articles by Raskin and others bashing Hatton in the past.

My prediction: Hatton KO 7.

I don't agree with them at all. I remember it was a ridiculous amount of these so-called Ring "experts" that picked Pavlik to KNOCK OUT Hopkins. They're bull****ters. They're worse than Teddy Atlas in predicting fights.
