    Roman "Rocky" Martinez received a hero's welcome as he returned to Puerto Rico after a long flight from Manchester, where he capturing the WBO super featherweight title from Nicky Cook. Chants of "Rocky, Rocky" broke out as he boarded off the plane to a crowd of family, friends, fans and reporters. The unbeaten Martinez knocked out Cook in four rounds to become the 57th world champion to come out of Puerto Rico. [details]

    Rocky deserves it. He is very humble, and he is a hard worker, he is really loved here, because of his humbleness and care for the fans. People here really like him.

    Im glad he got the welcome he deserved.

          cook had martinez rocked at one stage in the 2nd i think but he didnt work on it.. martinez did well to comeback and get the win in style. mite have to keep an eye on this kid.

                Martinez did well. Cook is a good fighter and started well, but Martinez started to shine when he was warmed up. Great KO too.

                He has lot of work to do, but I think with some graft, Martinez will be a top guy in the division for years to come.

                    One of you guys, I forget who, started a thread and predicted Rocky would win and PR would have another world champ. I want to see this Rocky dude fight again. It was a night of KO's and his was damn good. The undercard wasn't bad at all and I don't regret paying the $25 bones (although I wish MAB didn't get cut!).
