    A ten-round non title fight between Filipino featherweight Michael Farenas and former WBO super bantamweight champion Daniel Ponce De Leon is in the works but several details have to be settled, including the purse of Ponce De Leon. [details]

              Farenas has a record of 24-2 (KO 21), but he lost to some bum with a 3-4 record, he seems like a glorified tomato can to me.

                  Everyone loses at one point or the other... Boxers like Izzy, Arce, etc... also lost to tomato cans early in their career... Boxing is a learning experience till you can't learn no more... I see potential in this guy....Not saying he is the next best thing, but I wouldn't write him off.

                      So? Israel Vazquez lost to some bum with a 9-6 record by ko in the 1st round and Marquez lost by tko to some bum with a 7-3 record. Look where they are now.
